Alexis Brett from the city of Aberdeen in Scotland is used to constant noise, loud laughter, fights over toys, and endless laundry.
Every day, she gets up at 5:30 a.m. trying to escape the inevitable chaos that starts when her children wake up. And she has eleven children. All but the youngest are boys.
Alexis used to work as a nurse at the local hospital. She loved her job, but after having her children, she went on maternity leave — which eventually became permanent.
For sixteen years, she knew almost no peace or solitude — her life revolved around diapers, school assemblies, cooking, and cleaning.
Despite the tiredness and sleepless nights, Alexis tried to remain optimistic. There were days when she only dreamed of locking herself in the bathroom to enjoy the silence.

Deep inside, however, she had one dream — to have a daughter. After her tenth son, she almost lost hope, but a miracle happened.
