The boy saw the woman sitting helplessly and tried to help her. What happened next shocked everyone.
When the boy saw the woman, he approached her and asked, “Are you sick?” The woman, surprised to learn who the boy was, replied that she was fine and did not need help. When the boy heard this answer, he turned and walked in the opposite direction.
The woman felt rude and followed him to apologize.
She tried for a long time to catch the boy and see where he was going.
When she reached the end of the street, the boy disappeared from sight and the woman began to check all the houses at the end of the street, trying to find him.
When she approached the first house and knocked, no one answered.
She knocked again and got the same answer: the door was ajar, but no one came out. After a second knock, the door finally opened, and what she saw inside stunned her.

The woman stopped in the doorway. An ominous silence fell over the house, broken only by the soft rustling of paper. The lamplight fell on a small table on which lay a plate of crackers in the shape of animals.
The boy sat in a chair, looking at her with innocent seriousness, as if he knew something that adults could not understand.
“I thought you would never come back,” the boy said quietly, his words hanging in the air. The woman felt a strange warmth slowly spread through her body.
She realized that right there, in this modest home, the boy was trying to share something important, something that could not be expressed in words.
As she looked around the room, photographs appeared on the walls: family, laughter, memories. Among them was a photograph of herself, which she did not remember.
Her heart sank: this boy seemed to somehow connect her to a past she had long since lost.
And then something unexpected happened: the boy handed her a small note with a dedication that changed everything. The woman read: “Sometimes you have to trust someone smaller to find yourself.” She looked at the child and for the first time in years felt real hope. Everything that had seemed lost suddenly came closer to her; she just had to believe.
