A woman used to leave a few small coins every day for an elderly woman who sat at the corner of the street. Over time, it became a simple routine — a small gesture of kindness she no longer paid special attention to. But one morning, everything changed.
When Susan, a 35-year-old woman, bent down to place the coins, the elderly woman suddenly grabbed her wrist. Something had changed in her eyes — instead of their usual calm, there was fear and urgency.
“My daughter, listen carefully,” she whispered. “You have done so much good for me… now it’s my turn. Today, don’t go home. Go somewhere else — to a friend, a hotel, or just stay outside in the street, but do not return to your apartment.”
Susan was in shock. The words were so unexpected that she couldn’t respond. Throughout the day, a strange unease followed her. In the evening, although it seemed absurd to her, she decided to trust the elderly woman and spent the night in a small hotel.
The next morning she discovered the horrifying truth.

That night, her apartment had burned down completely. The investigation showed that the door had been forced open and that the fire had been set deliberately in several places.
Later, the elderly woman admitted that she had accidentally overheard a conversation between two men. They were talking about Susan — and planning to kill her and disguise everything as an arson attack.
After the investigation ended, the most shocking detail was revealed: those two men were her ex-husband and his friend.
Susan was saved thanks to the courage of one person — an elderly woman she had given a few coins to every day.
Sometimes even a small act of kindness returns at the most unexpected moment.
