She mocked her husband during the divorce proceedings, but the judge’s words left her speechless.
The judge thought it was a routine divorce case and that everything should proceed as usual. The couple seemed intelligent. The man wore a smart suit and was very calm, and the woman also made a good impression.
But when the time came to sign the divorce papers, the woman began to humiliate her husband, saying, “Your filthy hands will never touch me again. You’ll be left with nothing, and no woman will ever be interested in you.”
There was contempt in her eyes, while the husband remained silent. He stared at the divorce papers, unmoved by the insults.
The judge observed them closely, but he understood that this was no ordinary hearing. Even his presence didn’t bother her, and she continued to humiliate her husband.
“I don’t know what possessed me to marry you, but I’m finally going to be free. Look at you. You thought you could hide your misery behind a suit?”
The judge frowned before intervening. As he closed the file, he uttered words that left the woman speechless.
The judge took a deep breath before beginning.
He slammed the file shut in front of him, and his calm but firm voice resonated in the courtroom.
“Madam, you seem to have overlooked a crucial detail. After a careful review of the documents and evidence, it appears that all of the couple’s assets, including the house, bank accounts, and investments, are legally in your husband’s name.
You thought you could get all of this in the blink of an eye, but you were mistaken.”
The woman froze, surprised and bewildered.
She hadn’t seen it coming.
The judge continued: “Indeed, you thought you could manipulate the situation to your advantage, but the truth is that your husband will keep everything he’s acquired. You’ll leave with nothing.”
