An unsettling silence reigned in the forest, broken only by the muffled groans of an elderly man. Several strong men with rough faces and shameless grins surrounded the old man. His gray hair was uneven, and his face was dirty – the bandits threw him to the ground and kicked him with their boots, demanding money.
“So, grandfather, where is your stash?” growled one with a scar on his cheek. “We know you have it!”
The old man helplessly covered his head with his hands, but the blows continued. They found his weakness amusing, as if it were entertainment.
But suddenly a sharp female voice rang out:
“Enough!”
All heads turned simultaneously towards the voice. A woman in military uniform emerged from the fog. She was about thirty-five. Tall, stately, with a determined look and a confident gait.
For a moment the bandits were stunned, but then a predatory grin spread across their faces. They looked at the girl with desire.
“Wow, what a beauty,” one smiled and gave her a greedy look. “And what is such a girl doing alone in the forest?”
“Look at her legs…” said another hoarsely, sucking in air loudly. — And it smells… mmm… wonderful.
—If you are alone here, it means there is no man around to protect you,’ added the third. ‘We can take better care of you than anyone else.’
—You must be freezing, you want us to warm you up. We are great at helping lonely, beautiful girls.
They exchanged cruel words, laughed, and exchanged glances as if they were unexpected prey. But the woman did not react at all. She calmly sat down next to the old man and checked his breathing and pulse.
—Are you deaf?’—one of the bandits grabbed her hand.
The woman looked up. There was no fear or panic in her gaze.
—Keep your dirty hands off me,’—she said in a confident voice.
—Really?—laughed the leader. ‘Are you still rude? Well, boys, it’s time to teach this brainless beauty some manners!’

The woman twisted his arm and hit him in the face with her knee and fist. There was a bang – and the big man fell to the grass, clutching his nose, from which blood gushed.

The last one walked, trembling, and took a step back:

The woman straightened up, straightened her jacket, and said coldly:
— A captain in the special forces.

A few minutes later, her fellow soldiers arrived at the scene. The bandits were subdued and taken to the police station. The old man was carefully lifted up, put in a car, and taken to the hospital.
