What my daughter said when she gave up her seat to the old lady made everyone laugh.

LIFE STORIES

My daughter started speaking quite early, but her sentences were often incomprehensible to strangers.

One day, one of her phrases made the whole bus laugh.

There weren’t many people, but all the seats were taken.

After a few stops, an elderly lady got on the bus.

My daughter noticed her, looked at her…
Then stood up and said loudly:

— Granny, sit on my chair!

The lady, touched by her gesture, sat down with a smile.

Then my daughter proudly added:

— Mommy taught me to give up my seat. I always give it to the half-dead.

The lady looked a bit surprised and tried to understand what she meant.

I explained that my daughter had mixed up her words—she meant “elderly people.”

The whole bus burst out laughing.
My daughter didn’t quite understand what was going on, but she was proud that everyone appreciated her gesture.
