Every week, a young widow visited the cemetery to see her late husband’s grave. She carefully adjusted the flowers, wiped the marble slab, and spent a few quiet moments in silent reflection. It seemed time stood still for her in those moments.
One man, a frequent visitor to the cemetery who came to see his own relatives, had been watching her for a long time. He was touched by her devoted care for her husband… but what intrigued him most was one strange detail: she never looked back when she left. Not once.

One day, unable to resist, he approached her as she was leaving:
“Excuse my curiosity, ma’am,” he began politely. “I’ve noticed how lovingly you tend this grave. It’s truly touching. But one thing puzzles me… Why do you never look back when you leave?”
The woman raised her eyebrow slightly, smiled mysteriously, and looked him straight in the eyes before answering calmly:

“Oh, you see… my late husband always joked that I have such a beautiful behind, it could bring the dead back to life.”
She paused dramatically, then added slyly:
“And I just don’t want to take that risk.”

The man froze for a moment… then burst out laughing. The widow winked playfully and gracefully walked away, keeping her habit — never looking back.
