Hi, I’m Sophie and I want to share a short story about my husband. He’s a workaholic — always tired. He thinks his job is the most important thing in life and that it gives him some kind of privileges. I get it, he works hard… but being a mom isn’t easy either.

Last month, we were supposed to visit his family for the holidays — a chance to relax and spend quality time together. My husband offered to book the tickets. I had no idea what was coming!
At the airport, while I was struggling with our child and bags, I asked my husband where our seats were. He was too busy on his phone to give me a straight answer.

Finally, with an awkward smile, he admitted he bought first-class tickets for himself and his mother… and left me in economy with the kids. I couldn’t believe my ears! As they walked away, I came up with a little revenge plan.
While they sipped champagne, I was fighting with the overhead bin trying to fit our carry-on. Then I remembered — I had his wallet. I had slipped it into my bag at security.
Two hours into the flight, while enjoying snacks in economy, I saw him desperately searching his pockets. Realizing his wallet was gone, he came to me in panic asking for money.
I pretended to dig through my bag and handed him twenty dollars with a sweet smile. I also reminded him he could ask his mom for help. The satisfaction I felt was priceless.

So dear travelers — if your partner tries to leave you behind, a little justice might just make your trip more enjoyable.
