Sarah and Jess had always had a turbulent relationship. The cousins didn’t really like each other, and Sarah was always jealous of Jess. She craved attention, and the whole family gave her just enough of it to keep her under control.
After four years of dating, Jess got engaged to her boyfriend Michael. The whole family was happy for her, which created a problem for Sarah.

Sarah organized a girls’ night after Jess’s engagement. That night, she offered to sew Jess’s wedding dress. In truth, Sarah was an excellent seamstress, and it seemed like a great idea. When Jess asked if she really would make her a dress, Sarah said, “Of course, Jess! It will be perfect!” and hugged her.
Everything went great until the final fitting. The dress was beautiful and fit perfectly — until the last try-on.
Something was wrong. The dress was unbelievably small. Jess couldn’t fit into it anymore.

“Jess! Are you crazy to gain weight before the wedding?” Sarah asked, wearing a concerned look that was clearly fake.
“I haven’t gained weight, Sarah,” Jess replied. She hadn’t even been eating properly because of the stress.
That’s when Jess realized this wasn’t an accident, and she hadn’t gained weight. She understood that Sarah had done this out of jealousy — the attention Sarah usually received had shifted to Jess and the wedding.
Then her fiancé suggested bringing the dress to his mother’s friend, who was also a seamstress. She had sewn his mother’s dress for her wedding and would be happy to help Jess.
Together, they created a new dress out of the one Sarah had made.
At the wedding, when Sarah saw the dress Jess was wearing, she was shocked. She was furious with jealousy.

At the reception, Sarah angrily walked up to Jess and asked, “Jess, what happened to the dress? Where is my original design? Why did you change it?”
Jess smiled and explained that she had simply perfected the dress Sarah had made.
