Many years ago, a film about the life of a mother with many children was successfully shown in Soviet cinemas. Compared to her former classmates—who had dedicated their lives to building careers—the character played by actress Gundareva seemed a bit plain. But reality turned out to be quite different.
Sue Radford, a resident of the United Kingdom, has 20 children! About a year ago, she and her husband found out that Sue was pregnant with their twentieth baby. They printed a picture of the ultrasound with the caption:
“10 boys and 9 girls. This little one is number 20.”
However, the balance between boys and girls wasn’t quite even—he turned out to be another boy. Sue shared the joy with everyone, but they decided that 20 would be their final number.
The story is truly remarkable, especially considering that this large family receives no financial support from the state. So how do they manage?
The head of the family, Noel, runs his own business. He makes cakes, which not only helps them make ends meet but also allows them to live quite comfortably. They live in a spacious house with no less than ten bedrooms. Real estate experts have valued the Radford home at £240,000.
Sue met her future husband when she was just seven years old, and he was eleven. But by the time she was fourteen, their first daughter, Kris, was born.

In their long journey, there was only one tragic event. They had already chosen a name for the baby—Alfie—but he passed away at 23 weeks.
