The path of the sun’s rays at sunrise and sunset is much longer than during the day. Before sunlight reaches our eyes, the shorter wavelengths are scattered. Yellow, orange, and red reach the eye. That’s why we see sunsets in those colors.
In the photo I took, you can see an unusual light phenomenon over the sea, creating the illusion of a figure — perhaps resembling a person or something mystical. It could be the result of light refraction or clouds forming this effect.
But observant internet users noticed something interesting in the photo. The light phenomenon might resemble the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, especially if you look at the figure’s shape and posture.
Am I the only one who sees this in the photo, or did you see it too?
That statue is known for its upright posture with outstretched arms, which can visually resemble a cloud or ray of light when shaped a certain way.
Such a phenomenon can inspire many thoughts and interpretations. For example, it could be seen as a symbol of hope or blessing, giving the sunset a special atmosphere.
Sometimes people see images or figures in clouds or reflections — often due to the effect known as pareidolia.
