On his farm in southwest England, 7-year-old Shayne-Lee lives among animals — chickens, goats, and horses. Naturally, he loves country and western music. When it came time for his blind audition on the UK’s “The Voice Kids,” John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” was the perfect choice, reflecting his love for the countryside.
One of the judges asked him, “Have you ever ridden a horse?” Shayne-Lee confidently replied, “I rode a horse to get here today.” That little detail only added to the charisma he had already shown on stage.
The audience was instantly charmed by his adorable appearance as he walked onto the stage. The judges quickly saw his charm too — but it didn’t take long for them to recognize his remarkable singing talent as well.
Judge Danny Jones said, “That’s the sweetest voice I’ve ever heard!” as the boy began to sing:
