After a long day at work, a man was heading home when he noticed an old, worn suitcase left at the side of the road.
It looked like it had been thrown away — something nobody wanted anymore. He walked past it, but suddenly stopped after a few steps.
He heard a sound coming from inside the suitcase.
At first, he thought he was imagining things. But the sound came again. A faint, almost inaudible whimper or cry. The man quickly turned back.
Heart pounding, he approached, bent down, and carefully unzipped the suitcase.
Inside was a curled-up, frightened little creature. A dirty white puppy, likely a poodle, with a lifeless gaze that could bring tears to your eyes.
The man was shocked. Who could do such a thing to a defenseless animal?
He gently picked up the puppy — it didn’t resist at all. At home, he gave it water, some food, and wrapped it in a blanket.
Later, he took it to a local shelter. The staff were shocked but relieved that the poodle was alive. Overall, it was in fair condition, though very dehydrated and emaciated.
The police launched an investigation: the suitcase had been left near a residential area, but there were no cameras nearby. The perpetrator hasn’t been identified, and the case is classified as animal cruelty.
