TRICKS

Fjodor Makhnov, who was born in the mid-19th century, went down in history as the tallest person to ever live on Earth. According to different sources, his height reached 2.85 meters.

As a child, Fjodor was no different from other children, and he lived with his grandparents in a village. But at the age of eight, he suddenly started growing.

By the age of 14, he had already surpassed 2.5 meters.

At the age of 16, a German circus agent noticed him. Seeing the potential in the giant teenager, he offered him a contract to perform in a circus in Germany.

The circus provided him with clothing, food, and a salary for his work. However, the circus life did not bring him the happiness he expected, and in 1903, he returned to his homeland.

Upon returning home, Fjodor bought land and a house. The property was adjusted to his size. He was a kind-hearted man who dreamed of having a family.

But finding a wife wasn’t easy — women were afraid of his impressive size. Eventually, he married Eufrozina Lebedeva, also a tall teacher — she was 180 cm tall.

They had five children, who, despite their father’s genes, never grew taller than two meters.

One interesting aspect of his life was his diet. Fjodor consumed an incredible amount of food every day.

His diet consisted of 8 whole loaves of bread, 20 eggs, 2 liters of tea and beer, as well as huge portions of meat and fruits. Before going to bed, he would eat another loaf of bread, 15 eggs, and drink a liter of milk or tea.

Despite his physical strength, Fjodor lived a short life. He died of a lung disease on September 10, 1912, at the age of 34.
