After a two-week trip, Victoria was shocked to discover that her bright yellow house — lovingly painted by her late husband — had been painted gray by her neighbors, the Davis family.
The neighbors, well known for their dislike of the house’s bright color, took advantage of her absence.

Victoria confronted the Davis family, but they denied everything. Another neighbor, Mr. Thompson, confirmed that the paint job was ordered using a fake work order in the Davis’ name. Victoria was furious — she felt her husband’s memory had been erased with a bucket of paint.
She stormed into the painting company’s office demanding answers. The manager, Gary, apologized: “We thought it was their house.” Victoria insisted on legal action, and the company agreed to cooperate.
In court, the painting company employees testified against the Davis family. The judge found them guilty of fraud and property damage, ordering them to repaint the house yellow and cover all associated costs, including legal fees.
Outside court, Mrs. Davis hissed, “I hope you’re happy now.”
Victoria smiled sweetly: “I will be — when my house is YELLOW again!”
